September 2020: Scholarship awarded to Suzanne Sheridan (McPolin Elementary) to attend the IDA Reading, Literacy & Learning Conference.
May 2020: Scholarship awarded to Laura Huggins (Ecker Hill Middle School) toward the Wilson Level 1 Practicum.
April 2020: Distance Learning Grant award made to the Park City School District to purchase supplies for remote reading instruction. Nine sets of Wilson magnetic letter tiles were purchased and distributed to families through the PCSD Special Education Department.
April 2020: Distance Learning Grant award made to Britta Joslyn, a local tutor, for costs incurred to continue providing reading intervention through remote instruction.
March 2020: Elizabeth Hamilton (Jeremy Ranch Elementary) received $350 towards the Wilson Level 1 Workshop, a prerequisite to Wilson Level 1 Certification.
February 2020: Scholarships awarded to Suzanne Sheridan (McPolin Elementary) and Donnel Pons (Private Tutor) to attend the Wrightslaw Special Education Law & Advocacy Conference (rescheduled to October 2020).
January 2020: Scholarship awarded to Alane Gaspari (Parley’s Park Elementary) to attend the Wasatch Spring Summit in March.
September 2019: Scholarships awarded to four (4) PCSD educators from to attend the 2019 Wasatch Reading Summit to be held in October. Recipients: Sasha Borba, Amanda West, Jessica Pitcher & Alane Gaspari (all from Parley’s Park Elementary).
June 2019: Scholarships awarded to two (2) PCSD educators to MultiSensory Math 1 Distance Learning Program through ASDEC – Holly Ray (Parley’s Park Elementary) and Kara Cook (Parley’s Park Elementary).
March 2019: Scholarships awarded to three (3) PCSD educators to participate in the Dyslexia Training Institute’s 3rd Annual Dyslexia Virtual Conference.

July 2018: Scholarship awarded to Katherine Martz (local tutor) to participate in the Wilson Trainer Internship Program.
May 2018: Scholarships awarded to four (4) PCSD educators to attend the 2018 Wasatch Reading Summit, which will be held in October 2018. Recipients: Larissa Fomuke (Treasure Mountain Junior High) and Sasha Borba, Kara Cook & Amanda West (Parley’s Park Elementary).
March 2018: Scholarships awarded to two (2) PCSD educators:
- Tracey Bowers (Parley’s Park Elementary): $500 towards completing the Capstone Course of the USBE Reading Interventionist Endorsement in Spring 2018
- Angie Dufner (McPolin Elementary): $350 towards the Wilson Level 1 Workshop, a prerequisite to Wilson Level 1 Certification
- Dyslexia Awareness Presentation at Parley’s Park Elementary School

April 2016: Dyslexia for a Day. This event featured speakers from the Dyslexia Training Institute and included an overview of dyslexia, a dyslexia simulation and an introduction to Structured Word Inquiry. Over 60 people attended the event, including many educators. Every participant also received a book about dyslexia. Click here for the event book list.
