Jackie Blake lived in Park City for 10 years, where she raised her daughter, Jordan. Jordan has recently graduated from Park City High School, where she was on the Debate team for four years. During her senior year, her team earned a first place at States and as a sophomore, Jordan claimed an individual 3rd place at States. Benefiting from a 504 Plan specific to her dyslexia, Jordan has and continues to reach her goals.
Jackie holds a Masters Degree in Education from Temple University in PA. She worked at 4 different universities on the East Coast in administrative positions and most recently was a professional fundraiser for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County in Florida. Locally, she was appointed by the Summit County Manager to serve on the Basin Open Space Advisory Committee and on Temple Har Shalom’s Religious School Advisory Committee, which she chaired for two years. Jackie served a 3-year term on the Board of Directors of Temple Har Shalom and has been the Fundraising Chair for 8 years. She enjoys volunteering for local non-profits, as well as larger groups including The Sundance Institute and The Water Keepers Alliance. Jackie became a Certified Dyslexia Advocate in 2014 to ensure families in Park City secure the support services their children are entitled for and need to reach their potential. Although she recently moved out of Utah to pursue other endeavors, she remains an active board member.
